An oldie for sure now. In my opinion Sigma went all out at the time to deliver a quality lens. It's metal construction shows. It is sharp wide open, it will ghost like any "kit" lens would though with brightly lighted subjects or glares/reflections present so take care. Overall I wouldn't have kept this around for so long if I wasn't pleased with it.
