Fantastic low light lens and portrait. One of Nikons finest lenses.

Very fast, well constructed, solid lens. Metal build, metal hood.
I use this lens for indoor sport mostly, and find it works well. The auto-focus isn't quite so good for fast action, even when using AF-C but it doesn't have the SWM motor so I really am very happy. This lens has taught me the power of pre-focusing for sports action - and I am getting better and better at this.

This would be my favorite lens if it had AFS. Fantastic IQ at mid ranges, with a BOKEH among Nikon's best. Construction is top notch, but would prefer bayonet hood to screw-on. Wonderful lens and well worth the cost.

Lovely lens. To be cherished! The image quality, sharpness, and contrast are superb! It makes a wonderful portrait lens, and I even use it for some landscape work. It is top notch!
The one downside is that it's slightly expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you have the need and the money, it is well worth it!
