I use this lens on an EOS 1 DS II. At the default setting is very sharp in the center of the image and a bit less in the corners. Barrel distortion is noticeable. Shifted to 9 mm in landscape format and 7 mm in vertical provide very good results in te center and noticeable softness in te uper corners. Distortion now is in pillow shape. Beyond these settings uper corners are really bad, and not acceptable for a serious detail reproduction, but if no extreme corner detail is needed, the lens is fully usable. Exceptional build and mechanical quality, and the best in its category.
