Page 1 of 1: 1
Hi All,
This is my first post here and i am truely a newbie with photography.
I recently bought a Nikon D80 with duble lens kit.
The problem i have found tho is getting really close enuff to get a close up shot of things due to restrictions of being confined to a wheelchair.
People have therefore been telling me to get a 'telephoto' lens. After sitting back and giving it some real thought as to what i wud like to take pictures of and the types of problems i may have getting close enuff to the subject, i think i wud need a telephoto lens that cud give me great close ups of subjects that maybe as far away as 100yds.
I dont have the amount of money that i have seen quoted for some telephoto lens, so i wud appreciate any help as to which kind of lens i wud need and where i cud get a decent deal for one?
Thankyou for any help u may be able to offer.

It sounds like you need a versatile telephoto zoom that will "pull in" distant subjects so they fill the frame.
Something like a 70-300mm lens should be perfect. There are several available from Nikon, Tamron and Sigma that need not be expensive.
I would suggest checking out www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk to see what is available.
