Minolta/sony 18-70mm DT lens test???

Can you please test this lens?Some people and websites say its good and some say the lens doesn't perform well.I am trying to decide whether I should buy the new sigma 18-50mm f2.8 macro.When will these 2 lenses be tested?

The Macro version is as good optically, but faster and closer focussing.

Have a look at the www.photozone.de review of this lens.There is quite a difference between the photodo MTF results and the photozone results.According to the photozone results the tamron 17-50mm f2.8 performs much better than the sigma 18-50mm.The photodo results reveal that the sigma is a better performer.which lens do you think is better?I think that the tamron lens is better.

Data on photozone do not match reality; look at sigma 18-35 aspherical - quite fine lens assessed as very poor.
