After a few years of use I became irritated that the image never cleared into the corners at any aperture. I reverted to the previous pattern with the removeable lens hood. Although heavier, and more awkward to use than the current pattern I found it more satisfactory to have crisp results right across the field.

This lens is always my best choice for wedding photography. f/2.0 is very helpful in low light, and most imporant, the image quality at wide open is almost not affected by lens abberations. It has great image resolution in the center, but a bit weak on the edge. This lens also has very high resistance of lens flare which makes it an ideal lens for landscape photography.
