Pentax SMC 67 75mm f/4.5 user reviews
Review by: SAR on Nov 2nd, 2009
Experience of this type of product: Good,
Time product owned: More than a year, Price paid: $390.
The cross section of this lens shows that it is an Angenieux Retrofocus variant. It is very well corrected for only having 5 elements. It is in my opinion in the top three sharpest lenses of the P67 line. At f/8 to f/11 it is as sharp as the 80mm lens for the M7II. Distortion is minimal, color saturation is good and so is contrast. DOF scale on the bsrrel is off just a bit, so one must be a bit more conservative than is what's indicated. Smallest stop is f/22 and I feel this is a limitation for landscape work. It needs f/32 like what is seen on the 55-100 zoom. Overall, it is a keeper.
