Experience of this type of product: Good, Time product owned: Less than a year, Price paid: $150 USD
This lens is light and small given its focal lengths. Sharpness is excellent at 70mm, decent to about 180-200mm, and not so hot beyond that point. This lens is definitely better than Pentax's 50-200mm f4 but I am sure that there are sharper zoom lenses out these in the 150-300 mm range. I just haven't found one and I doubt that such a lens would cost a mere $150 USD or so.

Good lense. Excellent at wide-end and bit softer at 300mm tele end. Please see visual tests here:

Good quslity for the price. Some chromatic aberrations noticed at focal length above 200mm. Produces high contrast shorp pictures with all detail possible...

thumbs up!!!

I bought this lens along with a tele converter which I sold giving me the lens for a mere $45. I have owned three Sigma lenses of the same focal lengths which were all disappointing, while this one is nice and sharp, quite compact, very light and fairly fast. I regard it as the best of the cheap longer zooms. It is the best one I've had. Definitely better than the Sigma's and the Canon 75-300 IS zoom.
