Thinking of buying this lens?

Excellent quality and much more versatile than I thought it would be. With care, very wide landscapes can show little distortion, but then tilt the camera and the whole world will change! An outstanding creative tool.

The most interesting feature is that motor-diven AF focuses as close as 1" (2.54cm). There are chromatic aberrations at some conditions, these can be fixed by PS or other photo editing software. No filters to use with thte lense, except for cokin creative series hand held close to the lense. Multicoating quality is superb and grease and dirt really doesnt stick to the glass. I use microfiber wipes to gently wipe off the dust once and again and this is it.

For landscapes is good to know that focused on 0.5m and f/16 you get DoF 0.35cm to infinity...

Wonderful, it brings fun back into photography. Good built and that it can focus as close as 1 inch with AF-motor gives macro capability with deepest perspectives.

Just love it.

I have had this lens a little over a month and I know it will be one that I never part with. The optics are very sharp and the distortion at the widest setting (10mm) is not as bad as I thought it would be. If you are careful with subject matter it "almost" is transparant. It puts some "fun" back into photo shoots!
