I use this lens for portraits only! for this it is absolutely stunning.Even on the
digital nikons with crop factor it is great raNge for portraits.Sharp as for portrait distance.I think this lens gets a bad rap for people are trying to use it for landscape shot of far away hills or other silly ideas.Don,t shoot brickwalls or the himalayas with this lens-use it at medium to short range and get the results you are after!!
