This is the standrd 'kit' lens bundled with the Sony Alpha A100.

The build-quality is fairly typical for a kit lens, with a plastic lens-mount and construction.

Optically, it's not bad. It produces respectable results from f/8 or darker.

Lens kit in plastic construction, however not bad, has not perceptibles distortions on all focal range and from f8 to 16 has fairly good definition. Very light, the manual focusing is not easy because the short trip of the focus ring.
