Heavy and large filter thread, but the fast apertutre makes it perfect for selective focus on portraits.
Good size manual focus ring for those who prefer to take control. Optical quality superb, but focus not the fastest on digital cameras like the Dynax 7D.
Comes with useful reversable bayonet hood.

On a digital SLR, the extra accuracy provided by this lens near corners is wasted. It is as sharp, if not more near the centers when compared to the 100mm f/2. One plus point is that it looks more interesting than your low key 100mm f/2 and 138mm f/2. A 50mm f/1.4 comes very close to emulating this lens on a DSLR with 1.5x FOV crop.
