Minolta AF 400mm f/4.5 APO-G Reviews

I'd heard this lens was sharp and I was not dissapointed. I had previously tried to go with a bargain Sigma lens but it just was not sharp. This lens is tack sharp at F4.5 (the full open aperture). The out of focus areas are very smooth because the lens has a circular type of iris. I'm trying to think of any negatives and I can't. It is very heavy, but also very robust. I would consider this lens one of the great bargains of premium glass telephoto lenses. The really nice thing is that it will fit the new Sony Alpha Digital camera.
