I got this lens for macro photography, then I also pick up a 60/2.8 macro. This lens is one of the best in the world. With full APO capability from infinity to 1:2 ratio, the R100/2.8 APO has stunning optical performance. It's almost diffraction limited. Distortion and flare are none. Micro-contrast is superb. You won't regret on this one.

this is the best lens for macro with the apo 2x you get very high quality tele lens,for marco photos it is the best of the best, I also have zeiss 100mm f2 Marco lens overall the leica is little bit better but for the color tune the zeiss is always the winner
