I like this lens, very usable on the lighter Contax body's aswell because it is not to big or heavy. I like the bokeh of this lens very much, I prefer it over the 50mm f1.4. I find it a toch softer than the 50mm aswell.

It is difficult to find a good wide angle lens.
Here is an exception.
Although it does not allow autofocus or automatic use on modern cameras, when used with an adapter, I am able to make magnificent photos with this lens.
Believe me, this lens is the expert here and not me.

When printed at 16" B&W, this lens is outstanding. Very sharp and contrasty. Comparing results with the 50mm 1.7 simultaneously, the 50mm might just have the edge but it's far too close to be significant.
This is a fabulously built all metal lens.

The colors and sharpness are exellent. On a canon 40D with adapter it shines.

I prefer the Nikkor 28 f2.8 AIS lens with the Close Range Correction, as the close focusing of the Nikkor makes for a special lens. The color and contrast of this lens is a bit better than the Nikkor, but the Nikkor focuses closer, has better corners, less issues, less CA, and a bit sharper.
