This was the first zoom lens I ever used that I would be comforatble using instead of a prime. My lens went all over the world on an EOS100 body producing razor sharp shots with good colour, and little distortion. The camera got dropped lens first onto conctre from about three foot and all that was damaged was the plastic filter thread which loosened the front retaining ring and made the zoom tight, optically it was still sound.
