Best lens I have. Even though the frontlens has some marks on it. Beats everything I also have, in terms of sharpness, bokeh, lack of purple fringing, and lack of CA.
(50mm/1.8 MKI, 50mm/1.4, 85mm/1.2L, 100mm/2.8 macro USM, 400mm/5.6L, Carl Zeiss 28mm/2.8)

I recently rebought this wonderful lens after owning one several years ago..
These are wonderful tools.. Fast AF,.. great background blur, super sharp, reliable, easy to hand hold and manual focus when / if needed, It's the shortest focal length lens to feature AF preset, It works very well with the extenders.. It's great for head shots, fashion, indoor sports, candids at events, commercial.. The f1.8 f-stop has saved me more than a few times already..
I know several pros who use this lens, and they all say it's their favorite lens in their arsenal.
