Two touch zoom maximum appature f32 at 45mm and f48 at 90mm.
this is a seriously strange lens compared to the 100-220pe.
Firstly the minimum focusing distance of 0.5m is at the 90mm focal length and then increases as the focal length decreases until its 1m at the focal length of 45mm. The lens is f4 at 45mm and f5.6 at 90mm with the lightloss increasing by 0.1ev approximately every 5mm increase in focal length. Using the ae3 prism and a maxwell screen the lens over exposes at long focal lengths - the prisms seems to over estimate the light loss at 90mm by over half a stop!
Its not the easiest lens to focus and with mine the zoom ring is rather stiff.
at 45mm the rear element pocks out from the mount slightly and at 90mm its fully retracted. The front element moves all over the place depending upon the focal length. Like all pe lenses it has half stop click stops for the appature. No tripod mount. 95mm filter.

In tests 45mm was not bad but the resolution rapidly degrades towards 90mm. However this could simply be the dim viewfinder at loong focal lengths maing focusing difficult. In my opinion not as well thought out as the 100-220pe and no where near as good optical quality.
