like all super wide retrofocus lenses performance drops the closer you focus to infinity. At close range its a sharp lens at infinity its no where near as sharp as the 75mm pe or 60mm pe. But the same is true of my Olympus zuiko 24mm f2 and 2.8 lenses vs the zuiko 28mm f2. Lens shares the same basic build as the 50,60 and 75 pes and shares the lens hood with the 50mm pe.
Fairly easy to focus despite being f4 (a lot easier to focus then the 105mm f4.5 macro or the 45-90 zoom)
